Sitting down and standing up — raw CMU study

Loading captures…

Our rig in orange; captured skeleton in pale blue, scaled to the same leg length. Our torso is longer than the actor's, so the captured arms hang lower: compare the angles of the limbs, not where they start. Front and side views share a fixed seat position. Judge the last step, descent, seated shifts and effort of rising. Watch feet sliding, hips settling, and hands meeting the body.

The horizontal dashed line marks median seated pelvis height, not a measured seat surface. Motion plays once and stops; Replay resets visibly. No foot locking, seat fitting, synthetic idle loop or crowd integration (those are on the hero motion page).
